    The Beginning

    Began his professional career at the age of fourteen, succeeding in competitive interviews before completing Year 12 and working alongside experienced engineers and senior professionals for a United States based organisation, an early marker of the drive and capability that have defined his career.

    Founded CAQA in 1999 and Career Calling International in 2009, growing a nationally trusted and internationally recognised group serving thousands of organisations across the VET and higher-education sectors.

    Working with the Regulator

    Appointed Business Systems Project Official with the Australian Skills Quality Authority, working collaboratively on the regulator's core systems supporting registration, regulation and course accreditation.

    Leads the development and execution of strategies that ensure organisational integrity, robust risk mitigation and regulatory alignment across the higher-education and training sectors.

    Key responsibilities

    • Direct compliance, risk-management and strategic-planning functions across the higher-education group.
    • Provide in-depth regulatory insight, quality-assurance frameworks and tailored governance solutions to clients.
    • Champion ethical excellence and uphold the independence and integrity of advisory and audit services.

    Selected achievements

    • Established integrated compliance and risk frameworks supporting providers through registration, renewal and regulatory review.
  2. Current

    Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer

    Compliance and Quality Assurance (CAQA)

    Sets the direction for how artificial intelligence is adopted across CAQA and the providers it advises, so that automation earns its place in a compliance system rather than quietly weakening it.

    Key responsibilities

    • Define the governance, assurance and ethical guardrails for AI used in assessment, audit and quality assurance.
    • Advise providers on ISO/IEC 42001 (Artificial Intelligence Management Systems) and on evidencing AI use to regulators.
    • Lead the design of AI-assisted tools for validation, resource development and audit preparation.

    Selected achievements

    • Built the assurance position that an AI-generated output is evidence only when a provider can show who checked it, against what, and when.
  3. 1999 to Present

    Director & Senior Principal Consultant

    Compliance and Quality Assurance (CAQA)

    Directs CAQA, a well-established and internationally recognised consultancy serving thousands of organisations across the VET and higher-education sectors.

    Key responsibilities

    • Advise RTOs, TAFEs and higher-education providers on compliance across ASQA, VRQA, ESOS and CRICOS, the Higher Education Standards Framework, the AQTF, state funding and ISO frameworks.
    • Lead quality assurance, audit readiness, rectification and continuous improvement.
    • Oversee one of the sector's largest libraries of training and compliance resources.

    • Built CAQA into a nationally trusted brand in compliance, quality assurance and resource development.
    • Directed delivery of tens of thousands of training and education products and many thousands of compliance projects.

    Principal Quality Auditor

    Australian Higher Education Group (AHEG)

    Leads comprehensive auditing, compliance and risk management across the education and corporate sectors.

    Key responsibilities

    • Plan, lead and report on quality, compliance and regulatory audits for RTOs, TAFEs, higher-education institutions and corporate entities.
    • Deliver expert assessments, best-practice frameworks and continuous-improvement recommendations aligned with current standards.

    • Overseen many thousands of quality, compliance and regulatory audits across diverse industries and training packages.

    Director: Compliance, Resources, Risk Management & Quality Assurance

    Career Calling International

    Directs a global talent-development and compliance corporation supported by a team of legal and compliance experts across health, business, technology and community services.

    Key responsibilities

    • Lead compliance, resource development, risk management and quality assurance across the group.
    • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams delivering products and projects to RTOs and providers nationally and internationally.

    Khalsa Education and Migration Solutions

    Registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority; provides immigration assistance across employer-sponsored work-visa programs and skilled migration, integrated with corporate compliance and risk advisory.

    Key responsibilities

    • Advise on assessment, application and skills-assessment lodgement, corporate compliance and risk identification.
    • Represent clients with the Department of Home Affairs and assessing bodies.

    Business Systems Project Official

    Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA)

    Worked with senior management to define strategy and requirements for ASQA's core business systems supporting the registration and regulation of training organisations and the accreditation of courses.
